Evaluation of the National Professional Enquiry Project (NPEP)

Please note that this is a speculative notice to advise of an upcoming tender opportunity. No tender documentation is available presently but will be published through www.etenderwales.bravosolutions.co.uk. The tender process is scheduled to begin on 17th August 2021 and the anticipated award of the contract is for week commencing 11 October 2021. The contract will run for a maximum duration of three months from October to December 2021. The procurement is required to commission an external evaluation of the National Professional Enquiry Project (NPEP). NPEP was established in 2018 to support schools to prepare for the new curriculum through developing teachers’ skills in research and enquiry. Almost 300 schools across Wales are currently involved in this project and are supported by the four regional consortia and seven higher education institutions (HEIs). An evaluation is required to review the return on the significant financial/resource investment in the programme. The evaluation is also required to inform the future development of the programme to support national roll-out to all schools from 2022.
