Asbestos Consultancy Framework

Tender description

The University of Manchester is seeking to appointment 3 asbestos consultancies to provide comprehensive asbestos consultancy services in accordance with legislative requirements. This will include asbestos management surveys, asbestos refurbishment and demolition surveys, asbestos re-inspection surveys, specification writing, bulk sampling, asbestos awareness training, air monitoring, clearance testing and associated works whilst providing expert advice at all times. Lot 1: The University of Manchester wishes to appoint 3 consultancies to provide comprehensive asbestos consultancy services in accordance with legislative requirements. This will include asbestos management surveys, asbestos refurbishment and demolition surveys, asbestos re-inspection surveys, specification writing, bulk sampling, asbestos awareness training, air monitoring, clearance testing and associated works whilst providing expert advice at all times. The overall cost of the framework is estimated at GBP 550 000 per annum, over the full 4-year term this equates a framework value of GBP 2 200 000. This represents the best estimate at the time of publication. Please note this a 2-year fixed term contract, with the option to extend at the end of the 2 years to a further year and then an addition further year after that (a 2 year fixed term, plus 1 year extension, plus a further 1 year extension). The budget has been estimated based on spend on the existing asbestos consultancy framework and anticipated work over the life of the framework. Please note, successful consultants are not guaranteed any work under this framework agreement. The overall cost of the framework is estimated at GBP 550 000 per annum, over the full 4-year term this equates a framework value of GBP 2 200 000.
