Tender description

Tenders are sought for robotic equipment for the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering of Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology. Lot 1 – Five (5) Robotic Training Cells Five (5) 6-axis robot educational cells with a minimum payload of the robotic arm of 3kg are required. The cell must contain all safety guards/sensors to allow for safe operation of the robotic arm. The cell should be able to perform but not limited to standard robotic task such as pick and place and basic assembly operations. The cell must also contain a vision system to allow for robot coordinate adjustments and to be able to detect pass and failed components. Programming of the cell should be complete by the use of a touch screen teach pendant and by offline/online simulation software programming. Lot 2 – One (1) Cobot Training Cell (Optional to Purchase) One (1) 6-axis cobot educational cell with a minimum payload of the robotic arm of 0.5kg is required. The cell must contain all safety guards/sensors to allow for safe operation of the robotic arm. The cell should be able to perform but not limited to standard robotic task such as pick and place and basic assembly operations. Programming of the cell should be complete by the use of a touch screen teach pendant and by offline/online simulation software programming.
