Procurement of a Barristers’ Framework Contract

Tender description

The Authority seeks to set up a Barristers’ Framework to enable the Council’s Legal Services team to instruct external legal practitioners on behalf of Service Areas. The Framework is expected to be managed by the Legal Services Team and is expected to be a 4 years contract (2 + 2). The Contract value will be above the Find a Tender Service threshold and the Authority hopes to be able to tender this using the flexibilities available within the provisions of the Light Touch Regime (LTR).The proposed procurement is meant to secure best value in the procurement of Legal Services within the Council while at the same time ensuring compliance to Public Contract Regulations and our Contract Procedure Rules.It is expected that this tender will be published within the 3 quarter of 2021 Lot 1: Adults, Children and Education Services including matters related to vulnerable adults, Children’s Services and Education.
