Tender description
Demand Response is a collective term for a range of services that National Grid calls upon to deal with challenges on the UK electricity transmission system. The services are building asset dependent, however it essentially focuses on load reduction or an increase in generation for short periods, for example where there are on-site generators. The aim of this project is to set up a network of buildings, wherever viable, throughout the Glasgow City Council estate, in a secure systems network and offer load sharing/reduction services back to the Energy Grid/suppliers.
