The Spherical Tokomak for Energy Production Programme at UK Atomic Energy Authority is conducting an RFI and a webinar to support the development of the procurement strategy for a 3 lot framework for support services to the Confinement Systems team. Lot 1: Lot 1 - Conceptual design and analysis work packages to address specific tasks or wider design challenges which involve major magnet subcomponent definition. Detailed analyses and design of superconducting or cryogenically cooled resistive magnet concept designs including design and optimisation studies. Lot 2 - Testing of materials or sub components - Physical validation of concept principles by manufacture and testing of prototype subcomponents or key critical materials including conductors and insulation. Design and manufacture of physical validation test articles. Insulation system and conductor specification development. Lot 3 – Conductor and Insulator Specification Development - Conductor specification development, early procurement engagement.
