Support of local businesses

Tender description

Enfield council was granted like every local authority a amount of money to support local businesses through the pandemic called Additional Restritions Grant (ARG). Under the ARG guidance, local authoroties were asked to support local businesses. Much of this was designed to be through direct grants. There was the potential for wider business support schemes but only where you utilised existing contracts you had with local businesses. One of the contracts we had in place and had done some great work with before was FSB. As such we used this contract to revamp and upgrade the initial work we are doing with FSM to support local businesses. FSB will offer training, support and mentorship and advice to local businesses, FSB will also set up forums for businesses which align with Enfield Council's key priorities (such as a green business forum).
