Jisc has entered into a contract with Public Library of Science to give institutions the opportunity to publish unmetered research articles in a single journal in the publisher’s portfolio with preferential pricing. The service is being provided to Jisc members and is not for Jisc's own use. The contract value is an estimate based on the aggregate sum of the subscription fees that will be paid to the supplier by Jisc member institutions; Jisc Collections itself makes no payment to the supplier for this service.
