Tender description

Translink currently has 32 Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) in its network, situated in Relay Rooms from Derry/Londonderry to Newry. Two main types of UPS are used, these are supplied by Emerson-Liebert and Riello. At a single site there is a legacy Gammatronic UPS. There is a requirement to appoint a specialist Contractor to Maintain, Upgrade and Fault on NIRs existing UPS’s and associated bypass switches supplying NIRs Signalling and Telecoms infrastructure to manufacturer guidelines. All UPS’s to be serviced at night when train services are not in operation. There currently are a number of legacy bypass switches and there is a requirement to upgrade specific bypass switches in line with manufacturer’s guidelines and industry codes of practise.
