<p>Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced organisations for the supply of a Fostering Panel Chair Person from the 1st December 2021&ndash; 31st July 2023 initially for a 20-month period + 1 + 1 year depending on finance and service delivery. The Council must, as a statutory obligation, provide a comprehensive and independent fostering service panel to support the work of the fostering service. This ensures that the service has a robust and independently led panel to approve applications to foster, approve long-term matches of children with foster carers and to review foster carers on an annual basis. The aim of the service is to provide: &bull; Chairperson for the Main Fostering Panel: minimum 17 panels per year, every 3 weeks, with a facility for additional emergency panels when required. &bull; The additional emergency panels with will paid the same rate. &bull; Provide chairperson for Fostering Review Panel: minimum 12 panels per year. &bull; The Local Authority Fostering Review Panel provides independent scrutiny of foster carer&rsquo;s annual reviews and make recommendations to the provider about improving practice. The Agency will supply an independent chair for this panel, which meets every three weeks. This role will require reading review paperwork prior to the review meetings, attending each Fostering Panel Review Meeting, and being responsible for checking minutes and ensuring their accuracy, the provision of a quarterly report.</p> Keywords: Fostering Chair person
