Environmental Risk Assessment and Remediation Plan - Ground Investigations Contract; Pollardstown Landfills

Tender description

The project entails the completion of an ERA and Remediation plan for Pollardstown Landfills. KCC's commissioned their Consultant to produce a consolidated environmental assessment of the site and identify gaps in the data. There are a number of locations identified which had insufficient or no ground investigation data. The purpose of this investigation is to provide supplementary data for the environmental assessment of the site and address the aforementioned information gaps to support the design of potential remediation options. The aim of the GI for the site is to: ▪ Acquire samples of waste materials for laboratory testing and waste characterisation; ▪ Understand the depths and extents of waste materials; ▪ Install landfill gas and leachate monitoring wells; ▪ Install groundwater monitoring wells; and ▪ Carry out groundwater sampling, surface water sampling and leachate well sampling after intrusive investigations are complete
