Summary of the work You’ll have extensive experience of working in teams doing agile, user centred design on high profile services/projects. You’ll be used to working with senior stakeholders on a daily basis and managing their competing needs, priorities and political pressures. You will be used to working with data to make informed decisions Specialist role Delivery manager Expected Contract Length 6 Months (Optional 50% extension) Latest start date Monday 26 July 2021 Maximum Day Rate £800.00 Inclusive of travel expenses if travel becomes required. Early Market Engagement N/A Who Speclialist Work With You’ll work closely with the Head of Delivery, other CDOs and senior leaders across the Welsh Public Sector and the supplier. You’ll be joining a wider delivery with other delivery managers, coaches, user researchers, product managers, etc. What Specialists Work On We’re looking for a senior delivery manager to lead the delivery of the Landscape Review which is due to commence shortly. Skills & Experience • Recent examples of delivery managing discoveries • Recent experience in delivering digital products and services • Proven experience using a range of agile tools and techniques • Demonstrable experience of challenging and removing barriers to service delivery • Recent experience of matrix-managing multidisciplinary teams • Used to dealing daily with Director level requests and input • Proven experience balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity • Demonstrable experience of the government digital landscape • Demonstrable negotiation skills Nice to Haves • Demonstrable experience of working in the open • Professional-level fluency in Welsh language • Demonstrable experience of working in the Welsh Public Sector Work Location This post is remote working Working Arrangments We expect this work will be done remotely for the foreseeable future. Should official guidance change during the duration of this engagement, you may be expected to attend meetings across Wales. Security Clearance Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) may be required.
