Westmeath Local Live Performance Programming Scheme 2021

Tender description

Westmeath County Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified candidates to produce, programme and manage the Westmeath Local Live Performance Programming scheme. This will require a provider to delivery a full service from conception of programme, to delivery of same – and engagement/remuneration of participants involved in the programme. This scheme funded through the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, will assist producers, promoters and venues to provide support for people in the live performance industry to facilitate programming of outdoor live performances in Westmeath in summer 2021 animating town centres for local communities, should public health considerations permit. The scheme aims to support the creation of employment opportunities for local professional artists and musicians of all genres, performers, designer, technicians, crew, lighting and sound engineers and other support staff working in the live commercial arts and culture sectors in county Westmeath. Performances can be recorded or streamed if health restrictions prevent live events or as local authorities deem appropriate. The Westmeath Live Performance Programming Scheme offers an award of €143,000. It is envisaged that one application will be funded. Applications are welcome from established Event Producers, Promoters and/or Curators with a proven record (minimum 3 years) in the creation and presentation of events in the live performance sector.
