Violence Reduction Grant Year 2 CAV peer support (LEAF)

Tender description

1:1 support via telephone and online, and to establish peer support groups via local community organisations. We have recently established a similar approach in First Steps for Families, which is being funded through the National Lottery. This project will use a similar model to introduce peer support for parents whose children are violent and aggressive towards them. It is anticipated that the outcome of this would be for approximately 60 parents to become peers, for them to benefit from a better support network, to have increased confidence and a wider range of strategies to communicate and engage positively with their child/ren. It is also anticipated that parents would have increased support in cases where there is need to report crime.
