City of Glasgow College’s Riverside Campus currently has been designated the international maritime hub for COP26. This will be a significant opportunity for the successful bidder to showcase their product on an international stage. At present we have two lifeboats, one 7 metre Open Lifeboat and one 6.5 metre Totally Enclosed Motor Propelled Survival Craft, we also have two Rescue Boats, one Fast Rescue Boat due to the age of this equipment and the inability to have service and repairs completed there is a plan and proposal to renew the crafts. We use these for the purposes of student training, demonstrations and commercial training.
