The Provision of Cross Regulator Support Advocacy and Intermediary Project

We are seeking to set up a framework in order to use lay advocates and intermediaries (who have been trained and registered under the criminal justice scheme) to provide person centred support to members of the public who are involved with regulatory cases. This work relates to referrals received about a registered health or social care professional across the four countries of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Lot 1: Mental Health Lay Advocacy This work relates to referrals received about a registered health or social care professional across the four countries of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.To investigate a referral about an individual professional, the health and social care regulators conduct "fitness to practise" investigations which may result in a public hearing for the individual professional. Lot 2: Cognitive impairment - Learning disabilities/ difficulties; neurological disorders and Acquired brain injury lay advocacy This work relates to referrals received about a registered health or social care professional across the four countries of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.To investigate a referral about an individual professional, the health and social care regulators conduct "fitness to practise" investigations which may result in a public hearing for the individual professional.
