<p>Silica is a 26-metre high illuminated structure located in the heart of Weston-super-Mare town centre. Within the base is small kiosk, with electricity and water services, a preparation and storage area and serving hatch. Potential general retail uses for the kiosk include a catering outlet serving sandwiches, hot food and drinks, newsagent, gift shop, florist, or travel/ticket office. The concession site is available for the 6 week summer school holiday period and North Somerset Council is now seeking offers of rental by sealed tender. Silica is located on Big Lamp Corner near the High Street, Regent Street and Meadow Street shopping areas.
