Safe Accommodation for Victims of Domestic Abuse – Soft Market Testing Event

<p>As part of the landmark Domestic Abuse Bill and comprehensive support for victims of domestic abuse, Bury Council is delighted to have been allocated funding to ensure victims and their children are able to access life-saving support. This includes therapy, advocacy and counselling in safe accommodation, including refuges.</p> <p>We recognise that it is essential to involve providers of domestic abuse services and Registered Housing Providers to shape an accommodation-based offer, which meets the needs of victims, improves their quality of life and develops skills for independent living.</p> <p>Bury Council would like to invite you to an event to discuss how the council can utilise this funding most effectively and consider options for future provision.</p> <p><strong>The event will be held on Microsoft Teams on 15th July at 10:30am </strong></p> <p>If you would like to attend, please contact Joyce Carroll ASAP on <strong>j.s.carroll@bury.gov.uk</strong> confirming your attendance so that an invite can be sent out in due course.</p> <p><strong>Please do not express interest in this event via The Chest, as this won&rsquo;t be actioned, contact Joyce direct.</strong></p> Keywords: Domestic, Abuse, Accomodation, Event, Victim, Support
