Provision of Mechanical, Electrical Services Installation and Builders Work upgrades to the Heating System at Carrowbrowne Transient Halting Site, Galway

Tender description

The scope of works set out in this tender relates to the provision of the Mechanical, Electrical Services Installation and Builders Work for the Upgrade the existing district heating system by carrying out Modifications and Remedial works to the existing heating systemsand water systemsin Carrowbrowne Transient Halting site. This work is part of an overall programme of works that is intended to improve the system efficiency while assisting in reducing operational costs. The existing site in Carrowbrowne consists of a main Community Building and 20no.Welfare units (10 semi-detached blocks of 2). Heating is generated in the main plantroom in the Community Building by gas fired boilers and is then distributed to 10 no Plantrooms in the Welfare Units. There are 10 no sharedplant rooms in the Welfare units that provide heating / hot water equipment to the Welfare Units so each plantroom serves2no.(semidetached) welfare units as per drawings.
