Tender description
Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin invites expressions of interest from companies interested in tendering the operation and management of its catering concession and hospitality services. The subject-matter of this competition constitutes a service concession partnership, in that the successful economic operator(s) will be remunerated for the delivery of the required services through sales to members of students, staff and the public. The current service provision has a combined total turnover of approximately EUR 5 000 000 per annum based on pre-Covid volumes. The proposed service concession will be for a seven (7) year period with the option to extend for a further 3-year period i.e. a maximum total of ten (10) years. Lot 1: Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin invites expressions of interest from companies interested in tendering the operation and management of its catering concession and hospitality services. The subject-matter of this competition constitutes a service concession partnership, in that the successful economic operator(s) will be remunerated for the delivery of the required services through sales to members of students, staff and the public. Trinity’s in house catering team currently operate café and restaurant services at the locations listed in the PQQ document (all of which are located on or adjacent to the Trinity campus in Dublin city centre) along with events, conferences, hospitality and vending services. The current service provision has a combined total turnover of approximately €5 million per annum based on pre-Covid volumes. The subject matter of this competition constitutes a service concession, in that the successful tenderer will be remunerated for the delivery of the required services through sales to members of staff and the general public. In addition, the successful tenderer will be expected to propose a financial contribution, payable to Trinity for the right to exploit the service. The proposed service concession will be for a seven (7) year period with the option to extend for a further three year period i.e. a maximum total of ten (10) years.
