(HM0114) Single Operator Framework Agreement for the Supply and Delivery of Paint and Painting Accessories

Tender description

Cork City Council maintains a social housing stock of over 10,000 units using a combination of directly employed staff and external contractors. The City Council also maintains other municipal buildings/properties such as City Hall, libraries, council buildings, satellite offices, public realm etc. Cork City Council is seeking to establish a single operator framework for the sourcing (supply and delivery) of paint and painting accessories to serve the ongoing need for these materials by our directly employed staff. The main user of the single operator framework, when established, will be Cork City Council’s Housing Maintenance Section. However, the framework will be available to all departments in Cork City Council to use. The supplier will be required to deliver goods and also provide an 'in-store' collection option for orders which the Council wish to collect. The key objectives of the framework are as follows: a) To establish a framework agreement with a single supplier who can supply and deliver a broad range of quality paints and painting accessories to meet the needs of Cork City Council. b) To obtain ongoing specialist technical support in relation to paint and painting accessories. c) To obtain advice in relation to cleaner, greener and environmentally sustainable product ranges and market trends and to access a supply chain for these materials d) To ensure value for money e) To capture accurate management information on materials being purchased f) To ensure robust controls are in place throughout the purchasing lifecycle (ordering, delivery, invoicing etc) Further details are provided in the tender documents which accompany this RFT.
