Supply, Install, Commission, and Support Conference Interpretation System (Hardware, Software and Peripherals)

Tender description

This contract is for the replacement of the existing conference interpreting training facilities in three new and connected suites as a key resource for our taught postgraduate courses. These facilities are central to achieving the pedagogical outcomes underpinning our courses and in developing the required graduate employability skills in our students. In addition, NUI Galway works closely with European Union institutions to provide authentic learning experiences for our students, and the new conference interpreting suites will need to support audio and/or video feeds from these institutions. The upgraded conference interpreting suites will be located in rooms currently used as language laboratories in the Arts’ Millennium Building on the main NUI Galway campus in Galway City. They will consist of one main training room, with the addition of interpreting booths in two secondary suites.
