Market Engagement regarding the supply electrical goods and consumables for Belfast City Council

The purpose of this prior information notice is to request expressions of interest from the market in participating in a market engagement exercise for the supply of electrical goods and consumables. This market engagement exercise will help inform the council of the best procurement strategy for the services i.e. use of lots, type of lots, considerations for specification, T&C's and pricing. Lot 1: The following supply requirements are currently envisaged: • Switchgear and distribution • Wiring Accesssories • Lamp and Tubes • Light Fittings • Cables and cable management • Fire, security and access • Tools and Equipment • EV and Energy • Pitch lighting and high level lighting • Emergency lighting systems A pre-market engagement ‘PME’ questionnaire is available for Economic Operators to complete. The purpose of the PME questionnaire is to help Belfast City Council ‘the Council’ better understand the levels of competition, capability and capacity in the market to supply and deliver a wide range of electrical goods and consumables to help support the Council’s maintenance and operations team. All information returned will assist in the development of the specification; evaluation criteria, pricing models; and contract award options to ensure this tender opportunity delivers a high quality service and best value for money for the ratepayers of Belfast. Completed PME questionnaires are to be returned on or before 23rd July 2021 by email to quotations@belfastcity.gov.uk by the closing date indicated. Spend on this requirement is estimated at £300 - £320k per annum (£1.6m over 5 years)
