Louth County Council - Low Cost Safety 2021 - Installation of a Traffic Light Pedestrian Crossing, Footpath Builds-Outs and associated works at Anne Street, Dundalk, Co Louth.

Tender description

Phase 1 works (not listed in sequence and not an exhaustive list) may/shall consist of some and / or all of the following: -  The installation of ducting, concrete kerbing, tactile paving and footpath works on the R171-181.  The installation of a Traffic Light Pedestrian Crossing and associated works. Exact locations for the crossings is to be agreed with Louth County Council technical staff on site prior to the commencement of the works.  The installation of new Traffic Signal Heads, installation of a Signal Controller to operate the LED heads,  The installation of ESB micro pillar/s,  The Commission of the installation of the crossing,  The Connection and power of the traffic lights,  The installation of cables into the ducting.  Drainage Works,  Anne Street and the area in general is heavily utilised by both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. As such the contractor shall ensure that the traffic and pedestrian management plans are designed in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual (the most up to date edition at time of the works must be adhered to).  Erection of advance warning signs for the proposed pedestrian crossings.  Application of road markings associated with / applicable to each of the pedestrian crossings in accordance with Chapter 7 of the Traffic Signs Manual.
