This is a call to competition by IE for the procurement of Cash Collection and Processing Services for the CIE group.Coras Iompair Éireann is the publicly owned transport company of Ireland. Its role is to provide both rail and bus transport services within the State of Ireland. CIE also has responsibility for Rosslare Euro-port. Coras Iompair Éireann has three subsidiary companies; • Iarnród Éireann (IE) • Bus Éireann (BE) • Bus Átha Cliath (Dublin Bus) (BAC) At Invitation to tender stage CIE will be inviting qualified companies to provide a comprehensive cash management solution, combining the movement of cash between the Company’s stations, payroll offices and bank branches. The following lots will be used in this tender process and awards may be made to one or more contractors. Lot 1: Combined Irish Rail and Bus Éireann Requirements Lot 2: Dublin Bus Requirements Lot 3: The combined requirements of Lot 1 and 2 above Description of Services Required The core requirements of this contract may be categorised as follows: • IE - Station to Bank Transfer: Coin, Notes & Cheque Takings • IE - Station to Station Transfer: Coin, Notes & Cheque Takings • IE - Automatic rail ticket vending machines – Collections & Refloating • BE - Bus depot to bank • BAC: bus depot to bank • BAC – Delivery of cash (for wages) • All Companies - Cash Processing Facilities
