Tender description

The current contract for the Ealing Carers Support Service ends on 31st March 2022. Ealing is planning to tender for a new Carers Support Service over Summer 2021 with the service to commence on 1st April 2022. Ealing is seeking to carry out market engagement and gather feedback from the market during June/July 2021. Ealing is planning to tender for a three-year contract with the possibility of a 2 year extension. The annual value of the Carers Support Service is approximately up to £100,000 per annum. Ealing has an estimated 35,000 adult carers providing unpaid, informal care. The Census 2011 indicated that 8.5% of Ealing residents provide unpaid care to a friend, relative or neighbour. Based on national research it is estimated that there may be more than 4,000 young carers aged under 18 in Ealing. Ealing is therefore seeking a suitably qualified provider who has experience of delivering vital support services to carers of all ages and carers across all health and social care needs.
