provision of Glove Box

Tender description

The Glove Box will be housed in the NNUF-EXACT facility at the National Oceanography Centre Southampton. The National Nuclear User Facility (NNUF) is a distributed centre of excellence in nuclear science and technology. NNUF-EXACT aims to provide an easily accessible, flexible state-of-the-art test-bed facility and supporting infrastructure for research, technology development / validation and training in in-situ, on-site and off-site characterisation and remediation methods including for complex / problem waste streams. The facility requires 'in-house' capability for the handling of radioactive or chemically hazardous materials. A Glove Box system represents best practice in terms of reducing the likelihood of operator exposure to a minimum, thus keeping exposures as low as reasonably practicable.
