NCC460 Provision of Winter Maintenance Services

Tender description

The Contracting Authority is seeking to appoint contractors to provide the following services on a call off basis across specified routes throughout Northumberland: • Snow ploughing; • Snow blowing; • Some precautionary gritting. In addition to specified routes, services may also include snow clearance and treatment of rural roads, housing estate roads, car parks, leisure centres, public buildings etc. The services required are currently split across 44 individual Lots based on geographical area and are across three operational areas of the County. Prior to the procurement process, the Contracting Authority wishes to engage with the market in the form of a market questionnaire. The purpose of this market questionnaire is to provide potential contractors with an overview of the service requirements in advance of tendering the opportunity in late July 2021, and to invite contractor views on the proposed service via a series of questions. The Contracting Authority will use the information received to help define the final scope and specification of the service.
