Tender description

• Two and a half hours of input from the music therapist per morning/ afternoon x 10 each term (Autumn 2020, Spring 2021, Summer 2021). • To include between three and five individual and one x 20 minute group music therapy sessions. Individual clients to work towards objectives agreed between therapist and class teacher. Group sessions to work towards objectives agreed between therapist and class teacher and include a programme of music and songs to encourage engagement and participation through adult led activity in a small class social group. Each session building on the last in a fun and interactive way. • Assessment of children’s engagement at the beginning of the individual therapy sessions with a report of progress after week 10 in each term • Support and liaison with nursery staff to provide an overview of sessions and advice about activities that can be extended within the classroom. Attendance to sessions by the SALT and class staff to maintain a multi-disciplinary approach. • To offer one or more music workshop for parents of children attending the CDC – 2 hours in length to provide an overview of music therapy and explore ideas that can be used at home to encourage engagement through music. To invite parents to attend sessions if wanted or possible to support family and child accordingly. • To contribute to TAC meetings and the EHC processes
