Summary of the work Create report providing evidence of: - Users needing the system in question - Need is not being met elsewhere in the organisation - How the proposed system fulfils that need - The system being fit for purpose - Steps necessary to take to ensure system is fit for purpose Specialist role User researcher Expected Contract Length 1-2 months at most Latest start date Thursday 1 July 2021 Maximum Day Rate Max budget is £10,000 Early Market Engagement We have already conducted user research (5 users) within our own NHS workforce and a couple outside the NHS. Report can be shared. Who Speclialist Work With You’ll be working with a project manager(s) and lead clinicians within the NHS What Specialists Work On -Advise on recruitment of NHS staff as users to test tool within NHS -Conduct user testing of a web based tool -Production of a user test report of the tool after all testing has been completed Skills & Experience • Have experience running User Testing for NHS staff • Have GDPR compliance • Have experience of Mental Health indicators • Report clearly and effectively • Work promptly and to schedule • Have good communication skills when engaging stakeholders Nice to Haves • Deliver at pace • Deliver at large scale • Be considerate and understanding of the needs of the people we are testing • Have experience working with people with Disability Work Location We require users that come from a diverse of workforce which needs to include staff with learning disabilities if possible. Is it possible to see what the tool is that is to be reviewed? No, It’s not possible to share without an NDA and explicit guidance. We can explore this with shortlisted candidates but everything must be shared with an NDA and the questions/replies must be public for everyone applying to see. 2. Are there specific areas of learning disability you are aiming to understand further? We would ike to make the tool accessible for people who have a visual, hearing and/or learning disability. 3. Can we see a top line summary of the existing work/report that’s already been carried out? We believe any work already committed is too sensitive/protected to share. But a summary of testing a self-reporting tool where people use multiple choice indicators to register their current mental health against scientifically approved criteria. We are trying to hone this tool to be as accurate, informative, easy to use and benefit from as possible. Previous user testing has highlighted areas for improvement and we have been in constant development. We now need to batch test at a greater volume than possible at an internal level and this is where we require the assistance of a provider.
