NCC738 Intermediate Care Beds

Tender description

<p>Northumberland County Council (on behalf of Northumberland CCG) wish to procure additional nursing care bed capacity within a 30 minute journey by car of Blyth Community Hospital to facilitate hospital discharge and provide an intermediate care and discharge to assess service for patients leaving hospital. The beds will be available to support the discharge of Northumberland residents from hospital and located to facilitate access to the necessary therapy services. This service is part of a planned response to manage pressures on health and social care services as a result of covid-19 and pressures on the system. This is a temporary measure to support the NHS system and will operate initially from 1st August 2021 until 31 March 2022. The contract is for 8 months and due to uncertainties about the level of demand it includes provision for this to be extended and for the contract to be terminated at 28 days&rsquo; notice.</p> Keywords: Care
