Tender description

SN Padraig Naofa is located at Dillions Cross, Cork. The primary school presently has approximately 99 Nr. pupils and 14 Nr. full time teachers and 7 nr. Special Needs Assistants. The School has been granted funding for proposed construction of Additional Accommodation - 2 Classroom Extension for pupils with Special Educational Needs. Please refer to Letter of Invitation which outlines the proposed areas of the new extension [circa 439m2] Consultancy Services Required The school require a Registered Architect Led Design Team. The scope of services will include as follows: • Architect • Assigned Certifier • Structural / Civil Engineer • Building Services Engineer • Quantity Surveyor The Consultants must have appropriate professional qualifications, Professional Indemnity Insurance cover and previous experience. The extension shall be completed in compliance with BCAR. The fee must be a lump sum fee and must include buying in the relevant advice of other disciplines. The school require full consultancy design team services to complete the project as per Design Team procedures (i.e., Stage 1, 2a, 2b, 3, 4, and 5). The extension shall be completed in line with the relevant Department of Education relevant Technical Guidance Documents. A copy of these latest TGD are available on www.education.ie Specialist Surveys The Architect led Design Team shall include for organising, procurement and interpretation of specialist surveys. The tendered cost for surveys will be paid directly by DoES.
