21/003 Framework Agreement for Consultant Conservation Architect Services

Tender description

Tamworth Borough Council has recognised the need to ensure ongoing building maintenance of its Castle is conducted on a more regular and sustained basis alongside, but separate to, other ad hoc project work. Whilst it is the Council's intention that the work will, where possible, be scheduled some will also be of an intermittent nature. As a result the Council requires a Framework Agreement with a single Architect who will be appropriately skilled and knowledgeable in the field of conservation work and will administer phased programmes of repairs, improvements and conservation for the Castle. Duties will be wide-ranging and will include, but not necessarily be limited to, briefings, appraisals, inspections, surveys and proposals relating to the Castle. The Agreement will cover the full Castle site with all associated buildings and structures including the shell keep, motte, herringbone curtain wall, medieval gatehouse remains, Holloway Lodge and the stable building.
