WCC- Commercial Waste Collection Service

Tender description

The Authority requires Commercial Waste Collection from Warwickshire County Council properties including general and recycled waste streams. The initial contract term will be 2 years however the Authority reserves the right to extend the contract by further periods not exceeding 48 months. The contract will have a maximum possible term of 72 months. This contract covers approximately 70 sites throughout Warwickshire. However, Warwickshire County Council reserves the right to add or remove sites from the contract as a result of properties being sold or acquired. Any supplier will be required to work with the Council and adapt its services as the Council manages and repurposes it property estate during the Covid 19 pandemic and afterwards as working practices change. An estimated contract value of £600,000 is based over a 6 year contract and considers a scale of service similar to pre-covid pandemic levels. At present a significant percentage of the property estate is not operational which effects the value. Any successful supplier will be required to be flexible and work with the Council as it manages its estate. This procurement exercise will be run electronically using the Council's e-tendering system (CSWJETS). The estimated contract value is based on services received before the Covid 19 pandemic and the actual value will be realised as the Council manages and reopens it property estate.
