Tender description

The National Waiting Times Centre Board (NWTC), an NHS Board located within the West of Scotland intends to enter into an agreement jointly with Stryker UK Ltd and Universal Research Solutions LLC. The purpose of this agreement is to develop and update the Boards Orthopaedic Arthroplasty Data to allow comparative benchmarking with other leading orthopaedic centres worldwide. Lot 1: The National Waiting Times Centre Board intends to enter into a contractual agreement with Stryker UK Ltd and Universal Research Solutions LLC to compile and analyse our Orthopaedic Arthroplasty data. This information will include both implant details and patient reported outcome measures. The Board have a strong desire to work in conjunction with Stryker UK Ltd and Universal Research Solutions LLC to allow access to both national and international leading orthopaedic centres. Universal Research Solutions LLC currently provide this service to other world leading orthopaedic centres and institutions. The Board is of the view that this is the sole option open to them to enable the sharing and benchmarking of its data within a common framework. Therefore, in accordance with the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015, it is the Board's opinion that the required service provision can only be provided by Stryker UK Ltd and Universal Research Solutions LLD, this being the only method available to access the data from other national and international leading orthopaedic centres within this common framework. To enable us to benchmark our data against theirs, we believe Stryker UK and Universal Research SolutionsLLC as being the only option available to meet our requirements.
