Tender description
Birmingham City Council (the Council) wants support services for vulnerable adults to have access to safe, secure, quality assured affordable housing and support at the point when it is needed. A vulnerable adult in this instance could be anyone who has a disability or mental health condition and are struggling to self-manage a home, finances or their health. The estimated value of the contracts is potentially £7m per annum with a potential duration of 5 years, maybe longer subject to funding. There may be an opportunity for partners to join the procurement and/or contract and bring additional funding. We want to co-design a service with partners which is based on a prevention pathway approach which will respond early and respond well to people who are beginning to have difficulties in managing their home, health and finances. This market engagement exercise provides the opportunity for potential providers to let the Council know: • Whether you are interested in delivering the service and if there are any barriers for you in the delivering the service considering the COVID-19 Emergency and how these might be overcome • Whether the intended services are of interest to you • What views you have on the issues faced by the current market and citizens needing these types of services and how to overcome these The Council has carried out a consultation process and now want to engage on the proposals for procurement taking on board the feedback provided. The Council will be using its e-tendering system (In-Tend) for the administration of this market engagement and providers must register with the system to be able to express an interest. The web address is: https://in-tendhost.co.uk/birminghamcc Registration and use of In-Tend is free. All correspondence for this procurement process must be via the In-Tend correspondence function. If you are unable to register with In-Tend please email cps@birmingham.gov.uk. If you are interested in responding, please click on the following link to access Birmingham City Council's Portal: https://in-tendhost.co.uk/birminghamcc/ and submit your details to register as an interested party. Requests to participate must be by way of response to the market engagement document no later than 12:00 hours (GMT) on 22nd June 2021 using the Supplier Portal. Please note that this is not a call for competition.
