Exotic antivenoms for NHS for emergency use

Public Health England (PHE) is responsible for the provision of public health stocks of exotic antivenoms for NHS emergency use in the UK. The antivenoms are used in the event of someone being bitten or stung by an exotic venomous animal. This requirement is to source 24 different highly specialist exotic antivenoms from national and international Suppliers. Lot 1: This purchase will entail obtaining 24 different highly specialist exotic antivenoms from national and international Suppliers. There are 11 different suppliers, each of whom supplies a very small volume of antivenoms. PHE will communicate with suppliers and place orders following an exchange of e-mails with the supplier to confirm price per dose, shelf life and delivery timescales. The UK hub sites based across the country are required to hold specified minimum volume on likely treatment dosage. This will allows delivery to be made within 5 hours (best endeavours) from when the request is received to any hospital location within the UK.
