Summary of the work ServiceNow Developer specialist, to work with DWP resources delivering continuous improvement and development of the DWP Place Roadmap for DWP end users. Specialist role Developer Expected Contract Length 6 months Latest start date Monday 26 July 2021 Maximum Day Rate Up to £676 ex VAT per day. Standard 8 hour working day, includes expenses to base location agreed with DWP. Who Speclialist Work With DWP ServiceNow developers -Third parties/internal teams supporting/developing integration and automation between ServiceNow and other products -All deliverables will be agreed between the DWP Digital Delivery Teams and chosen supplier What Specialists Work On The specialist will need to be highly experienced (Practitioner level) with the ServiceNow product, able to deal with the day to day development and design of features and applications within the platform and contribute towards the design of the DWP place programme milestones - Specialist will build, configure & develop ServiceNow platform improvements (meeting supplied requirements and deliverables) around platform capability/usability/stability - New feature discovery; support business analysts/designers to investigate/guide requirements for new capabilities - Software Development Lifecycle Process - Service enhancement and new service delivery to the required standards - Lead integration and automation between Estate products Skills & Experience • Ability to deliver new configuration and functionality to the ServiceNow Production instance in line with the DWP Software Delivery Lifecycle. • Experience of completing stories assigned or escalate blockers to ensure that development is completed to expected standards and are delivered within timescales • Attend and participate in Agile ceremonies • The ability to complete development of user stories to the DWP definition of 'Done' • Provide Show and Tells to Senior Developers, Business Analysts, and System Administration team • Create and maintain documentation • Able to build, configure, and support ServiceNow features, applications, and integrations • Able to build and test simple integrations, or can work on more complex integration as part of a wider team • Experience of JavaScript within the ServiceNow platform, knowledge of the Glide APIs- working level • Current ServiceNow platform certification • Minimum 2 years' hands on development experience on the platform • Experience working with these technologies, methods, and frameworks • ITIL qualifications or experience/skills • Demonstrate experience of working on large scale organisation and/or Government or Public Sector installation of ServiceNow Nice to Haves • Desirable: Agile Development • Desirable: Knowledge of Angular, HTML, CSS Work Location The role will be currently undertaken remotely but there is a likelihood that the individual would need to travel to the Corporate Hub location in Manchester at some point. Working Arrangments Specialist will work 5 working days per work remotely until further notice. The specialist will be required to be online between the hours of 8:00AM - 17:00PM Security Clearance All suppliers must be BPSS cleared and on-shore.
