Tender description

<p>This opportunity is for quality assurance services to be delivered to the Fire Standards Board, via the National Fire Chiefs Council.</p> <p><strong>Requirement </strong></p> <p>The Fire Standards Board will be developing a number of Fire Standards throughout 2021 and early 2022, and upon approval of each Fire Standard at the Fire Standards Board, they will each be required to be submitted for Quality Assurance (QA).</p> <p>The following Fire Standards are currently being scoped (and may be subject to change) and will be progressed throughout 2021/2022. Proposed dates for when QA will be required are shown in brackets, these are subject to the development process running to plan:</p> <p>1. Fire Protection (June 2021)</p> <p>2. Prevention (June 2021)</p> <p>3. Well-Led Organisation (Oct 2021)</p> <p>4. Safeguarding (Nov 2021)</p> <p>5. Fire Investigation (Feb 2022)</p> <p>6. Developing Leaders (Mar 2022)</p> <p>7. Data Requirements (Apr 2022)</p> <p>8. Emergency Planning and Resilience (Apr 2022)</p> <p>The QA exercise required is focused on evaluating how well the Fire Standards Development Process has been followed using an already developed Assessors Guide. Further details can be found in the attached specification document.</p> <p><strong>Timing</strong></p> <p>Indicative timings for commencement of Quality Assurance for each Fire Standard have been outlined above, however this will be refined and confirmed upon completion of scoping. This may also be subject to change.</p> <p>It is envisaged that anyone seeking to propose themselves for this work will be provided with 2-3 week period to complete the work, subject to prior agreement.</p> <p><strong>Assessor Credentials </strong></p> <p>Anyone seeking to propose themselves for this work should have a background in providing assurance of compliance with procedures, systems, controls and governance. They would also benefit from having experience, or calling upon those with experience, in each of the Fire Standards subjects. Please submit quotations for all or any number of the standards.
