Goods-PIN-Supply and delivery of Ferric Sulphate

United Utilities has a requirement for the supply and delivery of Ferric Sulphate. Ferric Sulphate or (Ferric Sulfate) (or Fe2(SO4)3) is used on both water and wastewater sites at United Utilities as a coagulant. Ferric Sulphate is an inorganic chemical compound that is used to lower pH and/or flocculate contaminants in wastewater to aid in co-precipitation and removal of solids and metals. On clean water sites ferric sulphate is used as a coagulant. The demand for Ferric Sulphate is increasing and will continue to do so over the next 4 years, after which it will stabilise at the higher volume. The purpose of this pre-market engagement is to gain a view across a number of key areas to help determine our strategy and best approach to secure the long term supply of Ferric Sulphate, catering for the increased demand. The volumes required throughout AMP 7 will increase year on year until financial year 2024/25.
