Tender description

Overview: As part of the Transport for Wales’ (TfW) Core Valley Lines (CVL) Project, Balfour Beatty Rail have been asked to submit a quotation for the project’s Compound Earthing Installation & Bore Hole drilling requirements. Balfour Beatty Rail is seeking to engage the market for proposals which shall include compound earthing installation and bore hole drilling requirements in Wales at 7 Traction Power compounds. 1.Taff’s Well MPTSS Supply and installation of the earthing including 4 x 20m x 100mm diameter bore holes complete with conductive aggregate backfill and all associated tests and certification. 2.Tonteg Feeder Station (FS) Supply and installation of the earthing including 7 x 20m x 100mm diameter bore holes complete with conductive aggregate backfill and all associated tests and certification. 3.Radyr MPTSS Supply and installation of the earthing including 4 x 20m x 100mm diameter bore holes complete with conductive aggregate backfill and all associated tests and certification. 4.Queen St North MPTSS Supply and installation of the earthing including 4 x 20m x 100mm diameter bore holes complete with conductive aggregate backfill and all associated tests and certification. 5.Pontypridd TSS Supply and installation of the earthing including 5 x 20m x 100mm diameter bore holes complete with conductive aggregate backfill and all associated tests and certification. 6.Ninian Park FS Supply and installation of the earthing including 4 x 20m x 100mm diameter bore holes complete with conductive aggregate backfill and all associated tests and certification. 7.Abercynon TSS Supply and installation of the earthing including 4 x 20m x 100mm diameter bore holes complete with conductive aggregate backfill and all associated tests and certification. Programme: Subcontract Start Date - June 2021 Subcontract Completion Date - February 2022 Tender Documents: Suppliers requested to express an interest and shall be subject to meeting Balfour Beatty Rail’s pre-qualification criteria for this package of works. Documents shall be issued to those who qualify via Balfour Beatty’s Jaggaer portal. Access shall be supplied to those who qualify. Responses, including any tender queries, shall be via the Jaggaer portal only.
