Tender description

Provision of maintenance and repair service covering the fibre optic network used to deliver network service to University student residencies. This contract has been awarded under reg 6(1)(b)(ii)Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016 (Competition is absent for technical reasons): The fibre optic cabling is owned by the University but resides in ducts running along public highways that are owned and managed by Concept Solution People. Access to these ducts to inspect or repair a damaged fibre optic cable would require the authorisation of Concept Solutions People and therefore has the potential to delay the repair and thus extend the disruption to the student residencies.
