Waterford Institute of Technology and Institute of Technology Carlow (hereafter known as ‘the institutes’), are on track to merge and become a technological university on January 1st 2022. The scale of the new technological university will be similar to that of DCU or Trinity College Dublin Contract Objectives and Duration The goal of this project is to build two websites for the new technological university These are: (1) Launch Site (2) Technological University site Launch Site: The launch site is the first part of this project and has a deadline of the 1st January 2022. This site will exist during the period the technological university site is in development. The two existing institute sites will also still be online. We envision this launch site as a marketing platform for the new technological university and also a signpost site which will direct the user to the content that will still live on the existing institute sites. Technological University Site: The second will be the permanent site. The site will combine the content of the two existing institute sites to create the new technological university’s online presence. The provisional deadline for the technological university site is 2023. On appointment of this tender, the institutes will firm up timelines. It is important to note that while some work on the technological university site will progress in tandem with work on the launch site, there may be a pause on development of the technological university site in early / mid 2022 while elements of wider organisation is formed. The successful tenderer will work with the project team, the Institutes’ webmasters, and the Institutes’ marketing & communications team to deliver a website that will set a new standard in third-level online presentation and communication.
