Supply and installation of a plastic modular pontoon , Dun Laoghaire Harbour

Tender description

Dun Laoghaire Harbour is under the ownership and control of Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council. The Harbour is home to many sailing schools, watersports operators and water sports clubs. Access to the water is always a carefully managed challenge in order to accommodate all Harbour users. A set of steps at the beginning of the West Pier is an access point for several schools, operators and clubs. At present there is nothing, other than a handrail, to secure a boat alongside to enable safe embarkation or disembarkation. It is proposed to purchase and install a plastic modular pontoon at this set of steps to allow safer access to boats for all users. The West Pier is a protected structure.
