Southend on Sea Borough Council (SBC) are looking for an experienced and competent Contractor to service, maintain, repair, carry out statutory inspections and provide professional advice for its Heavy Good Vehicle (HGV) and other SBC fleet vehicles shown on the attached Section B2 – List of SBC’s Current Fleet. Lot 1: Southend on Sea Borough Council (SBC) are looking for an experienced and competent Contractor to service, maintain, repair, carry out statutory inspections and provide professional advice for its Heavy Good Vehicle (HGV) and other SBC fleet vehicles shown on the attached Section B2 – List of SBC’s Current Fleet. Over the duration of the contract the type and quantity of vehicles requiring maintenance may alter. Companies wishing to submit tenders are also asked to supply prices for maintaining car derived, panel, caged tipper and Luton type vans. SBC are looking to reduce Greenhouse Gases (GHG) emissions and air pollutants from vehicles used in all Council operations. Our ambition is to replace old fleet vehicles where feasible with green alternative e.g., electric/or hybrid (where technology is available) to fit the operation needs. Our target date is to be carbon neutral or as close as possible by 2030. We will need to work in partnership with the successful contractor to meet these needs and have a shared strategy for implementation of this target.
