HOLIDAY AND TERM TIME SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

Tender description

1.1 The Council has funded a school holiday play scheme for children and young people with a disability over the past 17 years. This service offered disabled children and young people the opportunity to take part in a range of fun activities within a structured environment. 1.2 In 2020, due to COVID 19 and the restrictions that the Scottish Government have imposed, an assessed and targeted holiday support service was developed. The Provider will offer holiday and term time support schemes as detailed below. This will be a flexible support service to meet the needs of the children and their families and will be carried out in partnership with City of Edinburgh Council. Lot 1: CT2823a Term Time Support for the Summer School Term Provide the term time support provision for the summer school term, for the period from 26 April to 2 July 2021. This would be for 10 weeks at a cost of 79,660 GBP. Lot 2: CT2823b Holiday support for disabled children and young people with complex care needs 1.1 The Council has funded a school holiday play scheme for children and young people with a disability over the past 17 years. The Provider will offer a holiday support scheme as detailed below. This will be a targeted support service to meet the needs of children with complex health /care needs and their families and will be carried out in partnership with City of Edinburgh Council. Lot 3: CT2823c Holiday Support Provision for Children and their Carers Provide the holiday support provision for children and their carers for the same period at a cost of 53,100 GBP.
