<p><strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Department for Education (DfE) is investing &pound;220 million nationally to expand the Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">, to provide access to activities and food to children eligible for free school meals (FSM) during the School holidays. As part of this investment, London borough of Sutton (LBS) will receive funding to implement the programme to local families for a total 6 weeks of the Schools holiday in 2021.</span></strong></p> <p>The aim of the&nbsp; DfE programme is to provide access to free&nbsp; holiday activity provision and food available to children eligible for free school meals for the equivalent of at <span style="font-weight: bold;">least four hours a day, four days a week</span> <span style="font-weight: bold;">and for six weeks a year. </span>This equates to <span style="font-weight: bold;">four weeks in the summer</span> and a week&rsquo;s worth of provision in each of the Easter and Christmas holidays in 2021.&nbsp;</p> <p>This programme sets out to ensure that eligible pupils are able to access holiday provision and nutritious food that they would not ordinarily have the opportunity to access&nbsp; alongside their peers and&nbsp; reduce social isolation</p> <p>You will find further communication / information regarding this scheme in the attchment section for this Expression of Interest.&nbsp;</p> <p>Please complete the expression of interest Google Form using the link below (also found in the attached communication).
