Tender description

<p>The authority did not receive any tenders back from the first procurement process that concluded on the 10th May, 2021. It is not sure why this occurred &ndash; all associated works (access, roofing, cleaning &amp; altering of brickwork opening etc) will be dealt with by other sub-contractors (provisions &amp; PC Sums allowed) who undertook similar work on the previous phase three. All the Council is asking for is appropriate contractors to supply and fix the new windows &amp; conservatories costs on site. Possibly the associated works put contractors off from supplying tender prices. Ideally the window section used in the replacement goods is VEKA because of similar replacement installed over the years for continuity purposes. However, the council would be willing to look at alternatives if obtaining VEKA section products from contractors is difficult. Therefore if builders /general contractors wish to submit tenders using other sections it will be looked at in the contract adjudication stage. Any contractor submitting an alternative PVCu section must indicated on page 11 of DOC D of tender pack with the manufacturer to be used indicated. Page 11 (only from contractors using alternative sections) is to be returned with the form of tender sheet.
