Soft Market Test - Development & Management of Whitehouse Cafe - Southport Golf Links

<p>This market testing exercise is being undertaken to consider the opportunities for Sefton Council to work with the private sector to achieve investment into the facilities at the Whitehouse Caf&eacute;, Southport Golf Links to improve the on-site offer. As such, ideas, thoughts, expressions of interest and proposals are welcomed for future development and/ or management of the cafe. The fundamental requirements in considering any proposals are that, the Caf&eacute; will &bull; Receive investment &bull; Continue to offer access to golfers &bull; Continue to be publicly accessible &bull; Offer reasonable prices that local people can afford &bull; Be accessible to all members of the community &bull; Act as a catalyst for regeneration for the area In recognition of the many options available, the council is willing to consider all business models to achieve its objective to improve the quality of the offer. In submitting their proposals respondents are invited to lay out in reasonable detail their proposed business model(s) to enable the council to arrive at a reasonable understanding of the overall proposal. Next Steps This market testing exercise is intended to allow the council to formulate its approach for the future development of the Whitehouse Cafe and to inform the decision making process. As such, the Council reserves the right to consider and/or pursue none, any, all or a combination of the options generated through this exercise, or to combine them with its own proposals. This exercise may result in respondents being invited to further discussions and or a formal exercise to appoint a preferred partner.
