Provision of Engineering Consultancy Services, with PSDP as a Specialist Skill: Blackrock Diving Tower and Bathing Area Refurbishment, Salthill, Galway

Galway City Council (the Client) as the Contracting Authority is seeking to procure Engineering Consultancy Services to design and manage the refurbishment of Blackrock Diving Tower and Bathing Area, Salthill, Galway. The works will include structural repairs to the dive tower, improved & safer accessibility to the tower and sea bathing access points, provision of new transportable lifeguard station and general improvements to facilities. The consultants shall be required to deliver the project from initial preliminary design and planning through to construction completion and handover. All related fees and charges associated with Consultancy Services should be included in the tender price for this tender call. The consultancy service must be an all-in package and incorporate all competent consultants as required so as to ensure a successful completion of the project on time and within budget. The following general items are included in the scope of services and are deemed to be provided for in the tendered fee: • The Consultant shall include for liaising and routine reporting to Galway City Council as may be required in the delivery of the project. • The Consultant shall include for liaising with Galway City Council planning officials. • The Consultant shall prepare monthly reports providing progress updates on works, design and programme. • The Consultant will be Designer, Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP), and Employer’s Representative for the project. They will be required to carry out all necessary works associated with these roles. • The Consultant shall provide Designer and PSDP duties in accordance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 (S.I. No. 291 of 2013) as amended. • The Consultant shall include for all expenses associated with this project in their tendering price. • The Consultant will organise, attend, record and issue minutes for all meetings as necessary.
